Step back in time and enjoy the cool comfort and freedom of a kaftan. The kaftan is instantly recognisable by its simple long shape, Open neckline and loose sleeves.
Originating in the Ottoman territories in Persia possibly c.600BC, this style has roots in Turkey, Morroco and the Middle East. Hence the gorgeous embroidery and embellishment typically found on each garment. It was embraced with bohemian spirit during the 60s & 70s. Worn by well known personalities including Liz Taylor, The Beatles, and Jackie Kennedy. The kaftan's hippie credentials are truly immortalised today.
